While speaking on ESPN MMA, CM Punk shared what he thought after watching all five episodes of WWE Unreal. He said there were a few moments that made him roll his eyes or feel annoyed, but overall he thought the show was really great. One big reason was that it showed a different side of someone like Charlotte Flair; it made her seem more real and easy to relate to.
The Second City Saint then talked about how hardcore wrestling fans build parasocial relationships with wrestlers and think they know the wrestlers. Punk said the show helped pull back the curtain, showing that wrestlers have real feelings and lives, just like everyone else.
Punk said wrestling is a strange business because there will always be fans who watch and then act like they know everything about his life. Sometimes, he feels like they think they know him better than he knows himself and that can be weird.
This comes after Charlotte Flair previously revealed she was bodyshamed by fans. At the end of the day, CM Punk just tells it as it is and many people should understand that wrestlers are normal people and no one should ever cross personal boundaries, no matter what.
