Scottie Scheffler is a golf icon who is doing really great things, and it looks like he could be leading the golf scene in the future. The 29-year-old has set a standard that is difficult to reach, but it seems that there are those who believe that they are capable of dethroning him.
Ben Griffin, the golfer who is the revelation of this season, was a guest on the No Laying Up podcast , putting a special accent on Scottie Scheffler and his mentality.
Playing this sport professionally means that in addition to golf quality, you also need to have a special mindset that will help you in the long run.
Griffin stressed the importance of staying positive.
Negative thoughts are the easiest thing to creep in your mind, and its hard to reinforce positive thoughts. And as professional golfers at the highest level, you have to constantly do that, and you cant get frustrated. Weve seen golfers get frustrated this year, its not good. It doesnt put you in a good headspace and it doesnt help you execute better on the next shot. And its not a good look in general, he said, as quoted by the Golfing Gazette.

Griffin recalled an interesting phase of his career and the way he dealt with various challenges.
Ben is a person who believes it is necessary to focus on the things you can control.
So, for me, I focus a lot on staying positive. Even when I first started playing professional golf, I used to think about hazards that were in play and think about OB and try and play away from penalties. And at some point in my career, it kind of clicked of alright, we can take on these challenges and these penalties. I watch it on TV, I see Rory take it over out of bounds stakes and bunkers. If hes going to do it, then I have to do it. You cant focus on the negative outcome, you cant think about the negative outcomes."

"Scottie Scheffler does that"
Griffin pointed out that Jason Day is a person who often closes his eyes during the game, just like Scottie Scheffler.
While stressing that the cameras probably didn't catch it, he still shares his amazement at such methods, admitting he hadn't seen him do it before.
It's obviously a method and technique that helps golfers like Day calm down and visualize their shot.
These are special methods and techniques that often bring positive results, but the most important thing is to determine what helps you on the golf course and try to change it.
