Carlos Alcaraz continues to carve out his place among tennis greats. The Spaniard is celebrating his 100th week in the top-2, adding another huge milestone to his already impressive collection.
At 22 years and two months, Carlos stands as the second-youngest player to achieve 100 top-2 weeks, edging past Bjorn Borg and trailing Rafael Nadal, who reached the mentioned mark at 21 in 2007!
The milestone, and Nadal and Borg in the story, further underlines Alcaraz's rapid rise and consistency. Since breaking into the elite tier, the El Palmar native has maintained remarkable stability.
He has been ranked in the top-3 since September 2022, showcasing his skills on the most notable tennis scene and conquering five Majors and seven Masters 1000 trophies.
Thanks to his incredible results at 22, Carlos has matched historic paces set by legends of the game. Nadal remains the benchmark for early-career success, but Alcaraz is keeping pace in many areas, signaling the potential for a rivalry of generations.

The race is on, and history is watching! Alcaraz claimed the 2022 US Open crown and entered the top-2 the next day, becoming the fourth-youngest player in that group after Boris Becker, Bjorn Borg and Rafael Nadal.
The Spaniard remained in the elite group untilMarch 2024, spending 81 weeks as a top-2 player and embracing the 16th-best streak in the Open era. He had two more stints by the end of the season, collecting 88 top-2 weeks ahead of 2025.
Alcaraz hit atop-2 week in April before settling in the elite alongside Jannik Sinner in May. The Spaniard has been on a roll since April, reaching six consecutive finals and lifting four trophies, including Monte Carlo, Rome and Roland Garros.
He lost the Wimbledon final to Sinner but remained safe inside top-2 after leaving his closest rivals behind. Jannik and Carlos will battle for the year-end no. 1 spot, with the Spaniard entering Cincinnati with a 1540 points advantage.
