Ron Killings is officially back in WWEand now we know exactly why he ditched the R-Truth name for this next chapter.

According to Figure Four Daily Update via Dave Meltzer, Killings personally requested the name switch as part of his new contract. It wasnt just a creative shiftit was a strategic one with life after WWE in mind.

Killings new WWE contract is reportedly not a standard talent deal. As noted earlier, it was finalized the Friday before Money in the Bank and is designed to give him one true final run.

Triple H didnt give a straight answer when asked about Killings return during the post-show presser. Instead, he played it coy: You enjoying the show? All part of the show.

Killings son, Christopher, wasnt buying it. He briefly posted cap on Instagram before deleting the story and later confirming that this comeback was one last run.

With the new presentation and name change locked in, WWE has essentially handed Killings the keys to write his own final chapterand when its done, hell walk away with his brand fully intact.

Do you think Ron Killings made the right call by switching back to his real name? Does this move give him more control over his legacy post-WWE? Sound off in the comments.
