During the May 21 episode of AEW Dynamite, The Rainmaker officially addressed his upcoming AEW Continental Championship defense at Double or Nothing. The champion didnt rant, yell, or insultbut the intent was unmistakable. You dont get to call me out, Okada said. Because I was calling you out.
And with that, the match is set: Okada vs. Speedball Mike Bailey goes down this Sunday, May 25, live from the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona. This will be Baileys first shot at AEW gold, and hes going up against a man whos carved out a reputation as one of the most elite wrestlers in the world.
Bailey has been making a name for himself since arriving in AEW, but stepping into the ring with Okada is a different level. Okadas not just defending a belthes defending his legacy. And if his Dynamite statement was any indication, hes not giving up that title without a fight.
