AEW Dynamites May 21 episode took place at the Rio Rancho Events Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Owen Hart Foundation Tournament finale at Double or Nothing was a main focus, with two finalists for each match appearing on the show for a bit of a confrontation.
Mercedes Mon and Jamie Hayter are set to meet in the finals of the 2025 Owen Hart Foundation Tournament at Double or Nothing. That win could help Mone further cover herself in gold.
This weeks AEW Dynamite featured a face-to-face segment between Mon and Hayter. This segment went down with about thirty minutes left in the broadcast. The two women had their own chair, along with Renee Paquette, in the center of the ring.
Jamie Hayter started off by discussing the fact that shes the underdog in this match. She promised to keep fighting, despite any label. Shes not an obnoxious CEO, nor does she walk around thinking that shes the best thing on earth like Mercedes Mon does. She also made a point to say that this means more to her than it does for Mone, because its about not being forgotten.
Then Mercedes Mon was asked if shes worried that Jamie Hayter might hand her that first loss in AEW. The former Sasha Banks made it clear that shes not just a champion, shes a revolution. She also called herself the Beyonc of womens wrestling. She plans to show everyone why shes called the CEO, because shes about leaving a legacy.
Then Jamie Hayter brought up how Mercedes Mon lost the NJPW Strong Womens Title. She also said that Mon will lose everything. That is when Mon jumped her, a beat Hayter down. She then threw around the chairs that were in the ring. Hayter then turned things around and laid Mon out. That is when Toni Storm came out to steal all of the attention.
We will have to see who ends up winning at AEW Double or Nothing. At this rate, you never know what can happen. The winner of the Owen Hart Foundation tournament will get a tile shot at All In 2025. AEW All In 2025 will take place on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
