Former WWE writer Vince Russo isnt holding back when it comes to Triple Hs creative approach in WWE.
During a recent appearance on The Wrestling Outlaws, Russo took aim at the WWE creative team, specifically the atmosphere in the writers room under Triple Hs leadership.
Referencing a glimpse inside the writers room shown in the trailer for the upcoming Netflix docuseries WWE Unreal, Russo criticized the overly corporate vibe, saying it kills creativity. I saw a still photo in the writers room Youve got a bunch of guys sitting in a board room with suits and ties. Thats a creative meeting? That is what it looks like? And then we wonder why theres no creativity in this? You cant be creative like that! Russo said.
Russo went further, implying that the presence of Triple H at the head of the table makes the writers walk on eggshells, preventing them from freely expressing creative ideas. How do you work like that? And Triple H is sitting at the head of the table, so you know that theyre all in their best behavior. Weve got to make sure we pitch him something he likes. How do you work like that, man? he added.
Russo and former WWE star EC3 also voiced their support for Scarlett, Karrion Kross manager, suggesting she deserves a stronger push in the womens division.
