Cody Rhodes hasnt been seen on WWE television since losing the Undisputed WWE Championship to John Cena at WrestleMania 41, but it looks like the American Nightmare is gearing up for a comeback. Rhodes is now being advertised for the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles on June 7, making it very unlikely he would be promoted for the show and not appear.
While its unclear if Rhodes will be wrestling at Money in the Bank, his return to the event is all but confirmed as WWE continues to use his image in promotional materials. With his rivalry with John Cena far from over, Rhodes presence at the event could set the stage for his next move as he seeks to reclaim the title he lost at WrestleMania.
Its also worth noting that Rhodes is set to appear on the May 16 episode of SmackDown in Greensboro, NC his first advertised appearance since WrestleMania. After being pulled from earlier shows, Rhodes is now front and center for the post-Backlash episode, adding even more speculation about his looming return.
For now, all eyes are on Cody Rhodes as the American Nightmare gears up for his big return.
