Jordynne Grace has been making waves in WWE NXT, but the question of when shell get called up to the main roster looms large. Following her victory in the main event of the May 13 episode of NXT, Grace sat down with Bully Ray on Busted Open Radio to discuss her future and what she envisions for herself in WWE.
When asked if shed prefer to stay in NXT and hone her craft or make the jump to the main roster, Grace admitted its a tough decision. Thats a loaded question. I am enjoying the time that I have at NXT now, because its allowing me to get used to the WWE, Grace said.
She also credited AJ Styles for giving her perspective on the situation. AJ Styles is someone that I just have, like, the ultimate respect for. Hes someone that Ive looked up to for a long time, and hes even come out and said, like, I wish that I had gone to NXT before and gotten that experience before coming to the main roster, and I think that really stuck with me, Grace explained.
Grace mentioned how different WWE is compared to her previous run in TNA, where she would make sporadic appearances. Its a completely different world in TNA than it is here. And I was, you know, signed to TNA and doing work here kind of at the same time, you know, I would make appearances, but its not until I came here full time that I really started to understand, like this, this really is a different ballgame, she added.
For now, Grace seems content with using her time in NXT to refine her skills, but the possibility of a main roster call-up is clearly on her mind. With her upcoming match against NXT Womens Champion Stephanie Vaquer at NXT Battleground, Grace has the perfect stage to prove shes ready for the next step.
