TKO President Mark Shapiro is giving his take on WWEs upcoming Netflix series, WWE: Unreal, and hes not shying away from addressing the controversy.
During the JP Morgan Conference on May 13, 2025, Shapiro commented on concerns that the show could reveal too much about WWEs creative process.
Shapiros statement comes as rumors swirl that some longtime WWE employees are uneasy about the series, fearing it could expose the inner workings of how WWEs top storylines are created. JoeyVotes and TC discussed these concerns on WrestleVotes Radio, suggesting that the shows behind-the-scenes content might affect the mystique of professional wrestling.
Despite the mixed feelings, WWE: Unreal is moving forward. Produced by Peyton Mannings Omaha Productions, NFL Films, and Skydance Sports, the 10-episode series is set to give fans an inside look at WWEs creative process, from backstage chaos to the inner workings of writers meetings. The series will cover events from early 2025, including footage from the Royal Rumble and the first Raw episodes under WWEs Netflix deal.
No release date has been confirmed, but WWE has already dropped a 40-second trailer, showing glimpses of what fans can expect.
