John Cena is back in action as Peacemaker, and fans are getting their first look at the second season of the hit series with a brand-new teaser trailer.
HBO has confirmed that the new season will drop this August on the MAX streaming service, bringing Cenas bloodthirsty hero back for another round of chaotic justice.
Cenas portrayal of Peacemaker became a breakout hit after the character debuted in The Suicide Squad in 2021. The series quickly followed, premiering in 2022 and shattering streaming records for MAX. The season finale became the platforms biggest single-day release for an original HBO Max series ever, securing an immediate renewal for a second season.
Peacemaker creator James Gunn is once again at the helm for Season 2, with Steve Agee, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma, Danielle Brooks, Robert Patrick, and Chukwudi Iwuji all set to return. The series continues to follow Cenas character, a so-called superhero who will do anything to enforce peace even if it means killing anyone in his way.
With the first season setting the bar high, all eyes are now on what Cena and Gunn will bring to the table in Season 2.
