About a week ago, former Goddess of Stardom Champion, Thekla, was rumored to be joining AEW. Now, a teaser appeared on this weeks Dynamite courtesy of a spider graphic that appeared. Thekla is known as The Toxic Spider.
Fightful Select can now confirm Theklas signing with the promotion. The deal has been in the works for some time since Thekla exited STARDOM a couple of weeks back. With her joining the promotion, she is the second prior STARDOM talent to sign recently. This follows Mina Shirakawa.
On the May 7 Dynamite, Toni Storm had a four-way title eliminator match. This meant that if any of the other three women won, they would get a title shot. Storm was able to be victorious causing Penelope Ford to submit. The match also included Anna Jay and Thunder Rosa.
During the match, Megan Bayne once again targeted Anna Jay, to which Harley Cameron emerged with a lead pipe. Harley unleashes her wrath on Bayne, chasing her to the back with the pipe after getting some hits in.
Chaos erupts between Jamie Hayter and Mercedes Mon as they will meet later this month in the finals of the Owen Hart Cup. During an interview with Renee Paquette, Hayter states she doesnt have the accolades or match catalog that Mon does. However, what Hayter does have is integrity, grit, and truth. Mon jumped Hayter during the interview and the two brawled around the Masonic Temple Theatre.
Willow Nightingale challenges Kris Statlander for Collision. Collision will be on a special day this week, tomorrow on Thursday May 8.
