MJF took things to a violent new level on the May 7, 2025, episode of AEW Dynamite, and it all went down in front of the Hurt Syndicate. MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin made their way to the ring in Detroit to chants of we hurt people, reminding the AEW roster that they hold the World Tag Team Championships.
After MVP questioned where all the top teams were to challenge the Hurt Syndicate, Top Flights Dante and Darius Martin hit the ring. They acknowledged their struggles and said they wanted a shot, but before they could even finish, MJF blindsided them.
MJF brutally attacked Dante and Darius, slamming them into the steel steps and ring post as the crowd chanted we hurt people. Standing tall, MJF grabbed a microphone and glared at Bobby Lashley before declaring, I hurt people.
Lashley took the mic and told MJF he would have an answer next week, leaving MJF to walk up the ramp as the Syndicate watched. MJF has been trying to gain entry into the Hurt Syndicate for weeks, but Lashley has yet to give him the green light.
