Another name may be off WWEs rosterand this time, its Eddy Thorpe. The NXT star took to social media and posted a cryptic GIF that strongly hints at his departure.

The post, shared just under an hour ago, shows a clip from the film Lords of Dogtown featuring a young man flashing a peace sign with a serious expressionsymbolic of someone saying goodbye.

Thorpe, whose real name is Karl Fredericks, signed with WWE in 2022 after a standout run in New Japan Pro-Wrestling. He rebranded from his NJPW persona and began wrestling in NXT under the name Eddy Thorpe, paying homage to Native American DJ and activist Redd Thunder Thorpe.

Thorpe made a solid impression on NXT with a unique look, solid in-ring skills, and strong storytelling. One of his more notable rivalries came in 2023 with Dijak, culminating in a RAW Underground-style match on NXT that brought a different flavor to the weekly show. While he wasnt a regular fixture on TV, Thorpes presence added variety to NXTs deep roster.

Despite showing promise and having international experience, Thorpe had been absent from TV for weeks. Now, with this post and no official word from WWE, fans are putting the pieces together.

Just a peace sign and a stare, but the message was loud, one fan commented under the GIF, which many believe was Thorpes silent farewell.

Eddy Thorpes run may not have lasted long, but his mix of NJPW pedigree and cultural influence left an impression.

Do you think WWE missed out by not pushing Eddy Thorpe harder? Or was his NXT run all it was ever going to be? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
