EmailPrintOpen Extended ReactionsHopefully you didn't have too much candy on Saturday night, because there are five NHL games to watch on Sunday! And as an extra treat, the entire five-pack is made up of interconference matchups, meaning this is one of only two times these teams will play each other in the regular season. Are there any likely Stanley Cup Final matchups on tap?Read on for a look at what you need to know for each game, including betting info and broadcast details:Odds are provided by DraftKings and subject to change.Winnipeg Jets at Carolina Hurricanes1 p.m. ET (NHL Network) | CAR -270, O/U: 6.5The Jets started the season 4-1-1, which had them near the top of the mighty Central Division. But in the eight games that followed, they have zero wins and only two total points via a pair of OT losses. The defending Cup champ Canes have been rolling all season and are 11-1-1 in their past 13.So, the moneyline you see above is not altogether shocking. However, these two teams have already played once this season, and it was a lot closer than you might think given everything in that opening paragraph. The Canes won 3-2 in Winnipeg, and there was some drama as former Jet Nikolaj Ehlers scored the winning goal 6:43 into the third period. Will Sunday's contest be just as dramatic?Minnesota Wild at Washington Capitals3:30 p.m. ET (ESPN+) | WSH -112, O/U: 6.5Of all the interconference matchups on Sunday -- which are all technically possible Stanley Cup Final pairings -- this one has the greatest chance of occurring, according to Stathletes projections: 1.14% (30th highest among all combos). Both clubs feature an exciting American defenseman -- Quinn Hughes for the Wild and Cole Hutson for the Caps -- along with a Russian winger who enjoys scoring lots of goals -- Kirill Kaprizov for Minny and Alex Ovechkin for Washington (although he has started the season in quite a slump). In goal, Minnesota's Jesper Wallstedt has been superb, with a 2.14 goals-against average and .916 SV%, while Washington's Logan Thompson is showing some early-season rust, with a 2.78 GAA and .903 SV%.The two clubs will face off again on March 7 ... and then again in June?Utah Mammoth at Philadelphia Flyers4 p.m. ET (ESPN+) | UTA -155, O/U: 6.5Both these teams were mild surprises to make the 2026 Stanley Cup playoffs; the Mammoth gave the Golden Knights a good series, while the Flyers won a round over the Penguins before being swept by the Canes. Both teams were on an upward trajectory, right?Well, one of them still is. The Mammoth are battling right near the top of the Central, with a varied attack featuring contributions from several rising superstars. The Flyers have not gotten out to a promising start; it took until Game 10 to get their first W, and after two more, it's been three straight losses.Pittsburgh native Logan Cooley scored a hat trick to drive Utah to a win on Thursday; does he have something bigger in store for the other Pennsylvania team on Sunday?Edmonton Oilers at New York Rangers6 p.m. ET (NHL Network) | NYR -125, O/U: 6.5It's the battle for Mark Messier's affection!Well, not just his affection. Messier is one of 91 players in NHL history to play for both the Oilers and Rangers, a list that also includes fellow Hall of Famers Wayne Gretzky, Jari Kurri, Kevin Lowe and Glenn Anderson, along with Rangers legend Adam Graves and goaltender Cam Talbot -- who recently set a record by earning a win for his ninth NHL team.Beyond the "let's remember some guys" of it all, this should be a fun watch, with the league's hottest offense making its one and only appearance at the World's Most Famous Arena. Who starts in goal for New York? It might not matter if it's Dylan Garand or James Reimer, given how dominant the Oilers' trio of Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl and Evan Bouchard has been. The Oilers' goaltending has not been All-World either, so this could be a chance for Alexis Lafreniere, Adam Fox & Co. to rack up a big number, too.Ottawa Senators at Anaheim Ducks8 p.m. ET (ESPN+) | ANA -112, O/U: 6.5After wins against the Kings and Sharks, the Senators close out their California road trip with a trip to Orange County. While the Sens are right in the thick of the playoff battle in the Atlantic Division, the Ducks are in peril of falling out of contact with the Pacific Division peloton. And for those who appreciate talented young European centers, have we got a matchup here for you: German Tim Stutzle (with 19 points through 14 games) leads the Senators in scoring, while Swede Leo Carlsson (18 through 13) is atop the Ducks' stat sheet.Reminder: Fans can catch all the action in the NHL streaming hub and on the ESPN App.Jump ahead:Top NHL storiesLast night's scoresNHL stats leadersToday in hockey historyTop stories around the NHLHere's what you need to know:The latest Wysh List column: Judging 10 overreactions after one month.Updated Power Rankings, including which horror movie best describes each team.Meet Devin Cooley, the most interesting man in hockey.Breaking down the biggest breakout (or rebound) players this season.Nikita Kucherov has requested a trade; his coach Jon Cooper says he's "committed" to the Lightning. Plante had been practicing with a fiberglass mask, and after he was cut by an Andy Bathgate shot in the first period, he went off for repairs and returned wearing the mask. The trend would not immediately catch on, but by the end of the 1973-74 season, all NHL goalies wore masks.
