A judge has denied WWE star Ludwig Kaiser's motion to dismiss the battery case filed against him in Florida, according to a new report. The charges stem from an April incident, but Kaiser, real name Marcel Barthel, was arrested in May.According to Fightful, citing court records, Kaiser's motion to dismiss the case under Florida's "Stand Your Ground" law, which he filed back in July, was denied during a hearing on Monday. In Kaiser's case, he was accompanied by girlfriend, fellow AAA star Andrea Bazarte. The alleged victim in the battery case, Richard Reap, reportedly told police that Kaiser and Bazarte were "aggressively kissing" in an elevator, and he asked them to "please have some manners." According to Kaiser, they were hugging when Reap began cursing at them and told them to have some respect "before he called ICE on that b****," referring to Bazarte. In both parties' account of the events, an altercation did take place. The incident took place in April, but Kaiser, the current AAA Mega Champion known as El Grande Americano, was not arrested until May, ahead of his mask-vs-mask match against the original El Grande Americano, Chad Gable. When Kaiser was made aware of the charges, he reportedly traveled from Mexico back to Florida to turn himself in.
