As he waited to receive his release from AEW in order to jump to WWE a few years ago, Rey Fenix attempted to draw headlines by posting a photograph of himself in what seemed to be a prison cell, stuck in a straight jacket. It's a photo that wouldn't seem to have any more relevance from that point forward, except today when another luchador with AEW ties tried to emulate in his own way. Taking to X in the afternoon, Dralistico posted what appears to be an AI photo of himself behind bars, save for his hands which appear to be going through the bars. Accompanying the photo was a message about how long he could be behind bars. The photo comes during a period of time when plenty of eyes have been on Dralistico and his brothers, fellow AEW star Rush and WWE star Dragon Lee. While Lee has continued to be featured on WWE television in the last few months, with Triple H expressing his desire to keep him in WWE long-term, his contract with the promotion is reportedly set to expire sometime this month, with no word on whether he and WWE have reached an extension. Like Lee, Dralistico's contract is also believed to be expiring soon, and neither he nor Rush have been featured on AEW TV in months, with Rush frequently commenting on his absence on social media.Dralistico made his first appearance for a AEW/ROH back in December 2022, and would later announce in the fall of 2023 that he had signed a contract with AEW/ROH, though it's unclear when that happened as he had been regularly working for both promotions by that point. Dralistico has largely been tied to Rush ever since then, teaming with him, The Beast Mortos, and Sammy Guevara in La Faccion Ingobernables, though he did miss several months at the start of the year due to injury.
