The All Elite Wrestling roster has gained a number of former WWE stars this year, including The New Level, Motor City Machine Guns, and Ilja Dragunov. Another name potentially following suit is former WWE Women's Tag Team Champion Kairi Sane.On the WrestleDream post-show media scrum, AEW CEO Tony Khan addressed the possibility of "The Pirate Princess" making an appearance in his company next."That's a great question. She's a fantastic wrestler. I can't speak to that at this time, but I am very aware and excited to see that she's a free agent," Khan said. "I think that that's very, very interesting. And I'm very intrigued by the possibility of that."Sane is currently a free agent after being one of the many talents released from WWE in the spring of 2026. Last month, reports indicated that Sane and AEW officials were in the midst of discussions about potentially bringing her to Khan's promotion. As of this weekend, no deal had been reached. Fightful Select has reported, however, that "light" conversations between the two parties have continued.Sane has reportedly elicited interest from multiple promotions since hitting the free agency market, including those in Japan. The ex-WWE star has deep history in the country, having wrestled in STARDOM for several years. Sane also competed in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, AEW's partner, on two occasions in 2023. She's a former World of STARDOM and IWGP Women's Champion in the respective companies. In a matter of weeks, Sane will mingle with talents from all across the world whenshe comes aboard as a special guest on Chris Jericho's Rock N Wrestling Rager At Sea. Jericho, of course, remains signed to AEW as the inaugural AEW World Champion.
