In his highly decorated 25-year career, John Cena has had some unforgettable times on the road. During his interview on "What Now" with renowned comedian Trevor Noah, Cena recalled one evening overseas when the wrestlers were left to their own devices after a missed flight. After what transpired, the former in-ring star now thinks twice about eating food left out in any hotel hallway."We got stuck in Ireland because there was a volcano and we couldn't get back to the states to perform [on] '[WWE] Raw.' The last thing you want to do is leave us stuck someplace alone idle with nothing to do. Boy, we had a great night," the former "Never Seen 17" World Champion said. "A friend of mine, Dylan, who wrestled under the moniker Hornswoggle, and another friend of mine, Christian Cage, who was Christian in the WWE. Christian took Dylan to bed. Dylan was drunk and he had room service and ended up throwing up on his hamburger. Christian put him to bed and tucked him in. He said, 'Dude, I'm gonna get the tray out,' and put the tray in the hallway. Flash forward to hours later, I am heavily influenced. Food is closed and there are no options available. I look and I'm like, 'That burger is not even touched. I'm just gonna bring that inside.' I ate the thing."Cena then told Noah that the next morning, he was informed by Christian and Hornswoggle that the tasty, much needed late night burger he ate wasn't so tasty after all. It was a riot of a story, and Cena told it in good spirits.December 13 will mark one year since Cena competed in his final in-ring match against "The Ring General" GUNTHER at Saturday Night's Main Event. Since that anniversary is drawing near, it appears there are working plans to execute the already announced "John Cena Classic" tournament. The date WWE is aiming to hold this inaugural tournament on is Saturday, December 12.If you use any of the quotes in this article, please credit "What Now? with Trevor Noah" with a h/t to Wrestling Inc. for the transcription.
