Premier League, Round 7NewcastleNEW Live 0 1 45' Aston VillaAST Venue St James' Park Referee Jarred Gillett Johan Manzambi 36Johan Manzambi nodded Aston Villa into a first-half lead at Newcastle this evening and Emi Buendia almost made it 2-0 shortly afterwards with the hosts at sixes and sevens defensively. Newcastle, who capitulated in a 4-1 hammering at Coventry on Monday night, were competitive in the middle of the field but lacked any real spark going forward.Their biggest issue was at the back, however.Nicolas Jackson had already come close before Manzambi opened the scoring, the Switzerland international pulling away from Lewis Miley and heading Joao Gomes cross inside Lukas Horniceks near post nine minutes before half-time.The Czechia international could arguably have done better and he was scrambling around three minutes later when another nice move from Villa resulted in Buendia crashing a shot off the post before Hornicek could smuggle it clear.Newcastle offered little in response, and the home fans were starting to show their frustration. At least they could console themselves with the fact they still had 11 men on the pitch after Sven Botman survived a 19th-minute VAR check for a red card.Botman lunged in over the ball at Jackson but his initial yellow card was allowed to stand.Newcastle confirmed starting team vs Aston VillaNewcastle are unchanged from that defeat to Coventry.Valentino Livramento and Anthony Elanga (knocks) are injured, as are Jacob Ramsey (thigh) and Ewen Jaouen (hamstring).Newcastle United: Lucas Hornicek, Lewis Hall, Sven Botman, Diego Gonzalez, Joelinton, Yoane Wissa, Harvey Barnes, Malick Thiaw, Matias Fernandez-Pardo, Joe Willock, Lewis MileySubstitutes: Nick Pope, Fabian Schar, Aladji Bamba, William Osula, Sean Steur, Bazoumana Toure, Jacob Murphy, Dan Burn, Amar DedicAston Villa full line up vs NewcastleVilla make four changes, bringing in Tyrone Mings, Buendia, Joao Gomes and Alysson for John McGinn, Ross Barkley, Ibrahim Mbaye and Pau Torres.Aston Villa: Zion Suzuki, Matty Cash, Victor Lindelof, Tyrone Mings, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Rodrigo Gomes, Boubacar Kamara, Alysson, Johan Manzambi, Emiliano Buendia, Nicolas JacksonSubstitutes: Marco Bizot, Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Ross Barkley, John McGinn, Pau Torres, Ibrahim Mbaye, Lamare Bogarde, Leon Goretzka, Brian MadjoWhere to watch Newcastle vs Villa: TV channel, live online streamKick-off on Saturday is at 17:30 BST (12:30 ET / 09:30 PT), with live coverage in the UK on Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Ultra.Via Now TV, Sky Sports costs 14.99 for a day membership, 27.99 a month for a 12-month membership or 34.99 a month with no contract.Heres the full list of Premier League international broadcasters.Newcastle United vs Aston Villa Premier League statsNewcastle have gone three consecutive Premier League games without a win against Aston Villa (D1 L2), losing 2-0 in their most recent meeting.
