Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca believes his side deserved more from their 4-2 Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, claiming even Luis Enrique admitted the French champions were fortunate. City suffered their first European defeat of the season at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night, having fallen three goals behind in the opening half.Erling Haaland scored twice after the break to give the hosts hope of a comeback, but PSG held on to claim all three points.Despite the result, Maresca was encouraged by Citys second-half performance and insisted his players created enough opportunities to get something from the game.Speaking to TNT Sports after the match, Maresca admitted his side struggled to recover from conceding two goals in quick succession.I think we start quite good until the first goal and then we concede the second one after one minute. That created some bad feelings, he said.Second half, we were much better and probably deserved something more.It was a bit strange, to be honest. Until the first goal, we started quite good, we were in the game, then we conceded the first and then the second one.We didnt lose half-time, we adjusted something. We created enough to deserve something more.Maresca reveals Luis Enriques lucky admissionCity improved after the interval, with Haaland scoring twice as the hosts attempted to recover from their three-goal deficit.Maresca explained that tactical adjustments to Citys pressing helped his players create more opportunities, although he acknowledged that their defensive balance suffered. We adjusted a bit when we were pressing. I think we lost a bit of the balance, he said.Even with 3-0 in the first half, with the amount of chances we created in the second half, we deserved more.Luis said at the end of the game that they were quite lucky today. You have to be clinical but not lose the balance.
