Youll get the first issue FREE plus the next 13 as part of your subscriptionSometimes in this job, its easy to forget about the people who read FourFourTwo. For every issue, we do our very best to create the most engaging magazine, with a good mixture of interviews and features, modern football and retro throwbacks putting ourselves in the shoes of the reader and thinking about what would interest you.But when you meet a reader in the wild, it can be a very surreal but nice experience. Last summer, I was on holiday in New York when I got chatting to a Scottish subscriber, Michael, who recognised me at a Cast gig and was telling me what he enjoyed about the magazine. Ive been stopped while watching Fulham a number of times by readers who want to give feedback, and every time its very heartening. For this issue, I interviewed Jamie Carragher. I introduced myself, but he said: I know who you are, Im a fan. Hes been a subscriber since the start and has always been very helpful to FFT his words briefly knocked me back with surprise, but it was very gratifying. In an age when there are many things to occupy everyones time and attention, were grateful and never take it for granted that people take the time to read FFT.The sales this year have been extremely strong, especially this summer, and prove that magazines like ours still have their place.Enjoy the issue.
