WWE HOFer Jim Ross Gives His Thoughts On Possible MITB Winner - Wrestling Inc.

Jim Ross has picked his favorites to win the men's Money in the Bank ladder match that is set to take place this weekend.Ross spoke on his "Grilling JR"podcast about the upcoming match, where he named CM Punk as one of his frontrunners to grab the briefcase and earn a world title opportunity. He also mentioned the likes of Kevin Owens and Bron Breakker two of whom Punk has history with as his other picks."I'm going to hang that honor on CM Punk [to win the men's Money in the Bank ladder match]. It's hard to make a star. He's already made, and Kevin Owens is already made. Kevin Owens' return has been nothing short of extraordinary. And he's one of my favorite talents in the ring,"said JR. "You know, I kind of got closer to him [Owens] when I found out that he learned to speak English in Montreal by listening to me do commentary. I thought that was kind of cool. But he's a hell of a hand. I guess if you're looking at it from somebody new, who would you pick? I'd say Bron Breakker because he's got an unlimited upside. Going to be great, no doubt about it."The legendary commentator also briefly touched upon Owens, stating that "The Prizefighter" could be a world champion if he were a part of AEW. Ross praised not just his ability in the ring but also his influence in the locker room. He believes that Owens' matches are logical and hard-hitting, which are aspects he likes in wrestling.Punk will be competing in the Money in the Bank ladder match for the first time since 2013, while Breakker will make his debut in the match and Owens will return to it for the first time since 2021. The trio will be joined by three other stars, Je'Von Evans, Trick Williams, and Penta, with the first two making their Money in the Bank ladder match debuts.
