"Actually progressing along fairly well right now. We'll kind of see how the week continues for him. I know where his mindset is at. We just got to make sure he meets the levels we need him to meet as far as being physically ready."He's doing a great job. It's going well. We're optimistic."Ford was the first commit in Alabama's transfer class this offseason. He chose to leave Oklahoma State following the firing of coach Mike Gundy last season.Immediately, Ford made an impact as a physical presence blocking in the run game.Alabama, which averaged 101.4 yards rushing per game rushing last season, is up to 186.4 rushing yards per game through five games this season.Ford has one touchdown catch this season -- a one-handed grab vs. South Carolina.Alabama has depth at tight end in the event that Ford is unable to play vs. Georgia. Jay Lindsey is an option, especially as a run blocker. Marshall Pritchett is another option who can provide a threat in the passing game.
