Oba Femi is set to go one-on-one with Bronson Reed at WWE Money in the Bank this weekend, and the lead-up to the bout has featured a contract signing and various beatdowns. There was one brawl in particular, however, that stood out in the mind of Hall of Famer Bully Ray that WWE never followed up on. On "Busted Open Radio," he brought up the September 7 segment that ended with Femi laid out by The Vision."You know how I always talk about [how] I want my wrestling to be real?" he asked. "Remember when they all beat down Oba Femi and Bronson Reed went to go put his foot on Oba Femi and Oba Femi, in a last gasp, took exception to that and swatted his foot? I wish they would have turned that into more."Bully Ray said WWE should have put a spotlight on that moment, as it was one that spoke volumes to him. He said that Femi should have cut a promo about the fact it took the entire Vision to put him down, but he'd be damned if someone was going to put a foot on him. Bully Ray explained he wanted WWE to lean into the "high level" of disrespect Reed showed Femi, as if he went into business for himself at the expense of "The Ruler.""I would've loved to have heard Bronson Reed say, 'Not only did that happen to you, it's going to happen again, that's how I'm going to pin you when I beat you,'" he said, "'I'm going to put my foot on the top of your chest. That's how I'm going to pin you, and I'm going to take your shoes, too.'"If you use any quotes from this article, please credit "Busted Open Radio" and provide a h/t to Wrestling Inc. for the transcription.
