The date for WWE WrestleMania 43, reportedly still set for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, despite ongoing tensions in the Middle East, has yet to be revealed. With just around six months to go until the "Showcase of the Immortals," it's been reported that announcing a date isn't a "priority" within WWE, though could be announced when the company travels to the kingdom for Crown Jewel next month. On an episode of "83 Weeks," Eric Bischoff said WWE revealing a date for the event isn't a big deal. Bischoff said he doesn't believe there will be as many people making their usual vacation trips for the event next year."I can't be convinced... that there's enough of a number of people that are going to spend the amount of money it takes to get to Saudi Arabia for a wrestling event. I don't care if it's WrestleMania," Bischoff said. "Will there be some? Of course there will be. But, does it really matter? There's a war going on, what about that part? It's not like WWE's just going, 'Ah, screw it, we'll announce the date whenever we're in the mood because we got all this other stuff to do. We gotta do this over here. We'll get to it. We got time.' They're not doing that."Bischoff said with the climate in the Middle East, it makes sense for WWE to be prudent, letting fans know they would rather them not make commitments in a situation the company can't control. A level-three "reconsider travel" advisory remains in effect from the US Department of State for the majority of Saudi Arabia, including Riyadh. The Yemen border remains at level four, "do not travel," due to the threat of terrorism. If you use any quotes from this article, please credit "83 Weeks" and provide a h/t to Wrestling Inc. for the transcription.
