The clock is winding down for one of AEW's first original signees Scorpio Sky, as his current five-year contract is reaching its expiration point this month. And, according to Fightful Select, the inaugural World Tag Team Champion has not re-signed yet. Based on the reports made, it appears Sky has yet to sign since All Out, AEW's most recent pay-per-view last month.It's been nearly three months since Sky was last featured on any televised in-ring competition for AEW. His last match saw himself, Dante Martin, and Matt Sydal (collectively known as SkyFlight) lose to The Lethal Twist (Jay Lethal, Blake Christian, and Lee Johnson) on the July 25 edition of "AEW Collision."Oppositely, Sky has been featured more on AEW's sister promotion ROH. Recently, Sky picked up a singles victory over Oro on the September 28 episode of "ROH on HonorClub." There, he is competing both in the singles and tag team leagues.Sky first joined AEW when the company was near completion in 2019. From there, Sky literally reached for the sky, as he and his SoCal Uncensored (SCU) tag team partner Frankie Kazarian climbed the ranks and became the inaugural World Tag Team Champions. After that, he'd go on to become a former two-time TNT Champion. In recent interviews, Sky expressed finishing this chapter on what he called the right way, and that he had a lot of stories, matches, and moments left that he wanted to be part of.
