
England striker Ivan Toney has pleaded not guilty to assaulting a man at a nightclub in central London. The 30-year-old appeared at Westminster Magistrates Court on Thursday, where he denied a charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.Toney is accused of headbutting and punching Saber Da Silva during an incident at a nightclub in Soho on December 6.The case was due to be heard in the magistrates court, but Toney elected to have the matter dealt with at Crown Court in front of a judge and jury.The forward was released on unconditional bail and is due to appear at Southwark Crown Court on October 29.Toneys England careerToney has won 10 caps for England and was part of the squad that reached the Euro 2024 final.The striker began his professional career with Northampton before spells with Wigan Athletic and Peterborough United.He joined Brentford in 2020 and established himself as one of the Premier Leagues leading forwards during his time in West London.Toney later moved to Saudi Arabia and currently plays for Al-Ahli in the Saudi Pro League.
