EmailPrintOpen Extended ReactionsINGLEWOOD, Calif. -- Los Angeles Chargers tight end David Njoku exited Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders in the second quarter on a medical cart with an injury to his right knee.The Chargers officially listed Njoku as questionable to return.Njoku appeared to get injured while blocking for running back Omarion Hampton. The entire team came out on the field to give Njoku well wishes as he exited.It wasn't the only Chargers injury on the day, as safety Derwin James exited the game in the first quarter with a hand injury. In his absence, the Chargers allowed a 40-yard touchdown to wide receiver Tre Tucker. The Chargers said James was questionable to return.The Chargers signed Njoku to a one-year deal in May after he spent his first nine seasons with the Cleveland Browns.With Njoku out, the Chargers will lean on tight ends Oronde Gadsden and Charlie Kolar. Patrick Herbert, a practice squad player who is the brother of quarterback Justin Herbert, could also see time if Njoku's injury is long term.Njoku had six receptions for 67 yards through two games with the Chargers.
