LeBron James free agency decision may have taken longer than expected, and one Cleveland radio host believes comments from NBA Commissioner Adam Silver played a significant role.With James yet to reveal where he will play during the 2026-27 season, speculation has continued to build. LeBrons camp was prepared to make an announcement last week before Silver publicly urged the four-time MVP to decide sooner rather than later, according to Andy Baskin of Cleveland sports radio station 92.3 The Fan.Baskin claimed the timing of the announcement changed after Silvers remarks.LeBrons crew was probably ready to make an announcement, especially because they were in New York, Baskin said on Baskin and Phelps. The world had their eyes on New York because of the World Cup as well. Yeah, and so that they were probably comfortable making an announcement as early as last week that they were there, and then people were like telling them what to do.Theres a little bit of irritation. Irritated was the word that I was told, irritated by the commissioner pushing them. It may not just be LeBron, but it it its more about LeBrons group together, so that the irritation got to the point they were like, Well, you know what? Well decide when LeBron is going to tell everyone where hes going.
