The party continued long into the night for York City following the most dramatic ending to a National League season in history.York went into the final day needing a point at second-placed Rochdale to clinch the title ahead of the home side but it seemed like their hopes had ended when Dale striker Emmanuel Dieseruwe nodded home in the fifth minute of injury time.A mass pitch invasion ensued and when the celebrating fans had moved back to the stands, York were left with two minutes to find a goal that would move them back to the top. It duly arrived in dramatic fashion when Josh Stones bundled the ball over the line, sparking another pitch invasion, this time from the away support.Around 45 minutes later, York lifted the trophy, ending their 10-year spell in non-league, and setting up a night to remember. The players were pictured, still in full kit, partying on the team bus before taking in various pubs and clubs in the city, including Vudu Lounge.Even this morning, they were still going, and still wearing their shirts!York co-owner Uggla proud of title triumphAmid the chaos, there was also a message of thanks from the clubs co-owner Julie-Anne Uggla, who wrote on X: Woke up this morning feeling a mix of shock, excitement, and overwhelming pride.
