Ronda Rousey delivered one of the most surprising moments of AEW Revolution 2026, and the reaction inside WWE was reportedly just as stunned as fans watching the show. The surprise happened during the event at Crypto.com Arena on March 15. The moment came shortly after Toni Storm defeated Marina Shafir. Storm was celebrating her victory when Rousey suddenly appeared and entered the ring, immediately confronting the AEW Womens Champion. The two women quickly tried to attack each other before security and officials rushed into the ring to break up the confrontation. As the situation escalated, Shafir blindsided Storm from behind, dropping her before leaving the ring alongside Rousey through the crowd while fans reacted loudly inside the arena. While the segment stunned the AEW audience, it also reportedly surprised many people working inside WWE. According to Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer, although a small number of people in WWE were aware that the appearance was happening, most individuals within the company were caught off guard when Rousey appeared on the AEW pay-per-view broadcast. The reaction came as a shock internally because Rousey had previously been one of WWEs most high-profile crossover stars before departing the company in 2023. Since leaving WWE, Rousey has only wrestled sporadically. She competed in a handful of independent and ROH matches after her WWE exit, including teaming with Shafir during that run. Her most recent match took place in November 2023. Outside of wrestling, Rousey is now preparing for a return to mixed martial arts. She is scheduled to fight Gina Carano in May 2026 under Jake Pauls MVP promotion, with the fight expected to stream on Netflix.
