AEW Revolution delivered a brutal tag team title match at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on March 15, but the biggest moment came after the bell when Adam Copeland and Christian Cage made a shocking return. FTR defended the AEW World Tag Team Championship against The Young Bucks in one of the most personal matches on the card. The bout came after The Young Bucks earned the opportunity by winning a three-way match on the February 11 episode of Dynamite. The rivalry intensified weeks later when FTR attacked The Young Bucks family during the February 21 episode of Collision. The confrontation included their younger brother Malachi and turned the already heated feud into something even more personal. The Revolution title match lived up to the tension leading into it. Both teams battled all over the arena in a physical contest that quickly turned bloody. Nick Jackson was busted open early during a wild brawl on the outside of the ring, and later in the match Dax Harwood was also left bleeding as the fight continued. With blood covering the ring, the crowd inside Crypto.com Arena became even more invested in the action as both teams traded huge moves and near falls. At one point, The Young Bucks locked FTR in simultaneous sharpshooters in the center of the ring, nearly forcing the champions to tap out. Later in the match, Nick Jackson stunned the crowd by kicking out of a massive Shatter Machine that looked like it could have ended the match. The Bucks family was seated at ringside and celebrated when Nick Jackson barely got his foot on the bottom rope to break up a pinfall at the last possible moment. Despite the dramatic near falls, the champions eventually regained control. FTR hit another devastating Shatter Machine to secure the win and retain the AEW World Tag Team Championship. However, the chaos did not end there. Immediately after the match, Adam Copeland and Christian Cage made their way to the ring in a surprise return that caught the crowd off guard. The two veterans stormed the ring and attacked FTR along with Stokely, taking out the champions after their grueling title defense. Once the ring was cleared, Copeland and Christian picked up the AEW World Tag Team Titles and held them up as a statement. The Young Bucks then returned to the ring and stood face-to-face with the returning duo, creating a tense moment that suggested a new chapter may be starting in the tag team division. With Copeland and Christian now back in the mix and tensions already boiling between multiple teams, the AEW tag team landscape may be about to get even more unpredictable.
