WWE is continuing its push to bring in international talent, and the company has now revealed the latest group of athletes joining its developmental system. WWE took to Twitter to announce a brand-new class of recruits who will begin training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The group features a mix of independent wrestling standouts and elite strength athletes from across Europe and beyond, showing WWEs ongoing effort to scout talent from a variety of athletic backgrounds. Leading the new class is Rayne Leat, known on the independent scene as Rayne Leverkusen. The UK standout made a strong impression during WWEs SummerSlam tryouts last year, where she was named MVP of the camp. Leverkusen often called the Maiden of Metal previously held the PROGRESS Womens Championship and has been widely considered one of the most promising prospects on the European independent wrestling circuit. The class also features athletes with impressive credentials in strength sports. Ellen Akesson joins WWE after building a reputation as a national powerlifting champion in Sweden. Shes also an IFA World Champion in arm wrestling and has experience as a soldier-trained strength athlete. Another addition is Delia Schweizer from Germany. Schweizer competed in CrossFit and worked as a coach while specializing in weighted calisthenics. She also participated in the same SummerSlam tryout class that featured Leverkusen. Rounding out the group is Ahmed Essam Samy Twfiq, who joins WWEs developmental pipeline as one of the latest international recruits to report to Orlando. All of the athletes will begin training at the Performance Center, where theyll learn WWEs in-ring style and character development before potentially appearing on television. With WWE constantly looking to develop new stars for shows like WWE NXT, the latest class represents another step in building the next generation of talent.
