Instead of committing to a longer run, Rousey explained that her priorities outside the cage may ultimately determine her future. She said the outcome of the fight will likely play a role, but her focus is increasingly shifting toward family life. Rousey went on to explain that at this stage of her life, she has started questioning how much longer she wants to keep chasing professional milestones instead of spending that time with her family. Even though she has managed to balance training with home life during this camp, Rousey described the upcoming fight with Gina Carano as something that feels like unfinished business almost like a final chapter that needed to happen. Rousey then revealed that she has already made a promise to her husband that this comeback fight would likely be the last time she competes in MMA: So I promised my husband this is definitely the last one. She also shared a conversation she had with promoter Jake Paul, who hoped to see her compete more often under the Most Valuable Promotions banner. According to Rousey, she told Paul that while she wont become a frequent fighter again, she could still help the promotion in a different role. Rousey is scheduled to face Gina Carano on May 16 at the Intuit Dome in California, with the event streaming on Netflix. The fight marks her first MMA appearance since leaving the UFC years ago and will headline a card that also features Francis Ngannou vs. Philipe Lins.
