Ricochet will put his AEW National Championship on the line in a chaotic environment at AEW Revolution 2026, as AEW as announced a 21-man Blackjack Battle Royale for the Zero Hour pre-show. The match will take place during Revolutions Zero Hour kickoff show, which begins at 7 PM ET and will stream for free on HBO Max, YouTube, and AEWs social platforms before the pay-per-view portion of the event begins. Ricochet has held the AEW National Championship since AEW Full Gear, where he captured the title in a Casino Gauntlet match to become the inaugural champion. Since winning the belt, Ricochet has stayed active across multiple promotions while building his reign with several successful defenses. His championship run has included seven title defenses so far, with matches taking place not only in AEW but also in promotions such as Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and Revolution Pro Wrestling. For Revolution, AEW is raising the stakes by placing the title on the line in a 21-man Blackjack Battle Royale. While the full list of participants has not yet been announced, the format suggests Ricochet will have to outlast a large field of challengers if he wants to leave Los Angeles with the championship. The event itself will take place at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on March 15, 2026. Revolution marks AEWs return to the venue for the second straight year. The main card already features several major matches, including an AEW World Championship Texas Deathmatch between MJF and Hangman Adam Page, along with a tag title clash pitting FTR against The Young Bucks. Other bouts scheduled for the event include Bandido vs. Andrade El Idolo, Swerve Strickland vs. Brody King, and an AEW Continental Championship match between Jon Moxley and Konosuke Takeshita. The AEW Womens Championship will also be defended in a two-out-of-three falls match when Thekla faces Kris Statlander, while the AEW World Trios Titles will be on the line as the Don Callis Family face a trio of challengers featuring Mistico, Kevin Knight, and Speedball Mike Bailey. With the National Championship now being defended in a massive battle royale, Ricochet will have to survive one of the most unpredictable matches on the entire Revolution lineup.
