WWEs revival of Saturday Nights Main Event appears set to continue later this spring, as a new report reveals when the next installment of the NBC special is expected to take place. According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, WWE has already locked in the next edition of the show for May as the company continues rolling out several of the network specials throughout the year. While discussing upcoming WWE scheduling plans, WrestleVotes shared that the event is already penciled into the companys calendar with a potential host city also being considered. The report also noted that this upcoming show is part of a larger plan WWE has in place for multiple Saturday Nights Main Event specials this year. The revived NBC special has been positioned as something of a middle ground in WWEs programming structure. Rather than functioning as a full premium live event, the shows are expected to feature notable matches and appearances while still maintaining the feel of a television special. During the discussion, WrestleVotes Radio co-host TC explained how the shows fit into WWEs overall presentation. He also pointed out that WWE has shown a pattern of placing these specials shortly before larger events on the calendar. If the May 23 date holds, the show would serve as the second of four Saturday Nights Main Event specials currently planned for 2026. The series returned recently as part of WWEs effort to expand its special-event programming beyond traditional premium live events. WWE has not officially announced the date or location yet, but Nashville reportedly sits at the top of the list as the potential host city. With WrestleMania season in full swing and several major events still ahead on WWEs calendar, it remains to be seen how the company will stack the card for the next Saturday Nights Main Event special.
