Celebrities have a deep-rooted passion for horse racing, with thousands trying their hand at ownership. However, getting wins on track isnt as straightforward as pinning an opponents shoulders down for a three count, as evidenced by the number of winners that professional wrestlers have been involved with in the world of horse racing. But, this doesnt stop wrestlers from having a passion for major events on the equine calendar, including the Kentucky Derby. That has been the case in recent years with stars such as Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins attending Churchill Downs for the opening leg of the Triple Crown. But which WWE superstars have a passion for horse racing and have even ventured into ownership? Frank Miller Achieving two dreams in a lifetime is a rarity, but that is something that Frank Miller was able to achieve. Known by the ring name of Trailer Park Trash, Miller competed across the world for 20 years in professional wrestling, sharing the ring with superstars such as Batista, Randy Orton, and The Big Show. However, after a period of prolonged injuries, Miller called time on his career in the ring, instead opting to chase another dreamtraining racehorses. Since going into business, the former wrestler has achieved great success, winning over $1 million in prize money and racking up a total of 40 winners. Despite operating a small yard, Miller has been able to show his ability on some of the biggest stages, including at tracks such as Churchill Downs and Kentucky Downs. The Undertaker There are potentially few more iconic names in the history of professional wrestling than The Undertaker. Mark Calaway began his wrestling career in 1987 before joining WWE in 1990. He was quickly repackaged as The Undertaker and would go on to become one of the most enduring characters in professional wrestling. His in-ring performances gained huge attention, winning the Best Gimmick award in five straight years. During his career, the superstar became most synonymous with WrestleMania, headlining the show on five occasions and maintaining an unbeaten streak before ultimately losing to Brock Lesnar. Due to a passion for the outdoors, it is no surprise that Calaway is a big racing fan, even having links to a New Zealand ownership group with a horse named in his honor. Chavo Guerrero Jr Chavo Guerrero Jr is regarded as one of the greatest cruiserweights in WWE history, and he remains connected to the company to this day, working as a producer for both WWE and AAA. His career is most fondly remembered for his time in WWE and his family connection with uncle Eddie Guerrero. Chavo achieved huge success during his run with WWE, winning the Cruiserweight Championship on six occasions and capturing the tag team titles five times. That includes two victories with Eddie as Los Guerreros. While not a real-life owner of a racehorse, Guerrero Jr once had a storyline where he was fixated on his horse named Pepe. Natalya Natalya has never made any secret of her love for equines and horse racing. The WWE superstar is a regular visitor to Churchill Downs for the Kentucky Derby. Last year, Natalya attended the opening leg of the Triple Crown alongside her former tag team partner, and now rival, Maxxine Dupri. In the ring, Natalya is one of the most accomplished female wrestlers in history and holds the record for the most pay-per-view appearances by a woman. She is a third-generation wrestler and daughter of the legendary Jim Neidhart. Natalya trained in the prestigious Hart Family Dungeon and was signed by WWE in 2007. A year later she made her main roster debut, before winning the Divas Championship for the first time in 2010. Mickie James Despite not owning a racehorse, there are few more passionate animal lovers and followers of horse racing than Mickie James. She has often spoken about her admiration for jockeys and horses within the sport and has regularly attended some of the biggest racing events on the calendar. She began her wrestling career in 1999 before eventually being signed by WWE in 2005. James was immediately pushed into the womens main event scene, feuding with WWE Womens Champion Trish Stratus, which led to a match between the pair at WrestleMania 22. During her career, James held the WWE Womens Championship five times and later captured the Divas Championship in 2009 after defeating Maryse. She departed WWE in 2010 before returning in 2013 as a guest trainer and resuming her in-ring career in 2016. James was released again in 2021 before returning to TNA in early 2026. From championship belts to the winners circle, its clear that professional wrestling and horse racing share more crossover than many fans might expect. Whether its attending iconic events like the Kentucky Derby or even stepping into racehorse ownership, several wrestling legends have carried their competitive spirit beyond the ring and into the sport of kings.
