Jade Cargill thought she already had her WrestleMania 42 opponent figured out and it wasnt who fans might expect. Speaking to Chicago Sports Network, Cargill revealed she initially believed she would be stepping into the ring with Charlotte Flair on the grandest stage. That plan never materialized after Flair failed to qualify for the Womens Elimination Chamber match. Cargill admitted the result caught her off guard. Flair was one of several top stars competing in qualifiers for the Womens Elimination Chamber, but she came up short throwing a wrench into what Cargill expected to be a marquee showdown. Still, Cargill made it clear the opponent doesnt change the outcome in her mind. She rattled off possible challengers, including Asuka, Rhea Ripley, and Tiffany Stratton, noting she already holds a victory over Stratton. Cargills comments position her as locked in on one goal leaving WrestleMania 42 with the WWE Womens Championship regardless of who survives the Elimination Chamber. With Charlotte Flair out of the equation for now, the road to WrestleMania just became less predictable but Cargills confidence hasnt moved an inch.
