After months of uncertainty, Queen Aminata just gave fans the update theyve been waiting for and it sounds like her AEW return is finally around the corner. The African Queen has been sidelined since November 2025 with a serious neck injury that forced her out of AEWs Blood & Guts match. As recently as January, Sean Ross Sapp reported she still wasnt cleared to compete. There was no timetable, and optimism was limited. But that changed on February 25, 2026. Speaking on her vlog, Aminata revealed she has undergone a new MRI and the results were encouraging enough to begin mapping out her return. She admitted the news wasnt perfect, but it was enough to move forward: I did my MRI and everything is looking good. Not great good. That update came with a key detail: her schedule has officially been adjusted, and shes now targeting tonights AEW Dynamite or the Collision taping in Denver as part of her return process. Denver now becomes the location where Aminata begins her in-ring return preparation assuming everything continues trending in the right direction. She was honest about the mental side of coming back, especially when it comes to taking that first bump after a neck injury. Despite nearly a decade in the business, she admitted that fear doesnt just disappear. And she made it clear this isnt something she brushes off. After being pulled from Blood & Guts and the ROH Womens Pure Title tournament, this marks the first real step toward Queen Aminata getting back inside the ropes. If all goes well in Denver, The African Queen could officially be on the road back to AEW television. Are you ready to see Queen Aminata return to the ring tonight in Denver?
