Another original All Elite Wrestling name has officially left the companyand this time, its someone who helped build it from the ground up.
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Nik Sobic, who served as AEWs Senior Vice President of Business Development, Partnerships, and Video Games, is no longer with the company. Sobic had been with AEW since its inception in 2019 and was considered one of Tony Khans top right-hand executives in charge of live events, business operations, and the development of the AEW Fight Forever video game. Meltzer wrote the following in this weeks issue:
Prior to AEW, Sobic had worked as a Director for the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2015 to 2019 and served as a mergers and acquisitions consultant for the Khan family going back to 2015. He also runs a horse boarding ranch in Ponte Vedra, Florida, making him one of the more unique figures in the wrestling business.
While the report confirms his departure, theres still no clear word on why it happened.
Nobody weve heard from seems to know the background as to what led to or why this happened, Meltzer added.
Sobics exit is one of the more significant quiet shakeups in AEWs executive structure. He wasnt a TV-facing name, but his role behind the scenes was critical to the day-to-day function of the brand since launch. With AEW preparing for major events throughout 2026, including the next Fight Forever content cycle, this kind of departure could shift how certain departments operate moving forward.
