WWE just locked in a major international signing in Fahd Tuwaiqand hes already being pushed ahead of the companys first-ever WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, what makes Tuwaiqs signing significant isnt just his backgroundits who announced it: Turki Alalshikh. As Meltzer noted, Alalshikh is essentially the most powerful player in combat sports, overseeing not only Saudi Arabias multi-billion dollar boxing empire, but also controlling whats estimated to be roughly 12 to 13 percent or so of all WWE revenue in 2026, plus significant UFC financial ties. When he breaks a signing, it matters.

Still, the hype comes with reality. Meltzer added that while Tuwaiq will be given every opportunity to succeed, the odds of unknowns making it in WWE is very low, even if they were to get preferential treatment.

Tuwaiq made his first official WWE appearance during the Royal Rumble 2026 kickoff show today, where he briefly discussed his training experience at the WWE Performance Center.

With WWEs deepening ties to Saudi Arabia and Turki Alalshikhs growing influence in the combat sports world, expect Tuwaiq to be pushed into the limelightready or not.

Will Fahd Tuwaiq break through in WWE or be another name lost in developmental? What do you make of Saudi Arabias growing footprint in WWE? Sound off below and let us know what you think.
