Killer Kelly is officially done with TNAand shes already popped up backstage at AEW.
On January 25, Kelly confirmed her departure in a lengthy public statement, saying her time with the company had come to an end after both sides agreed not to move forward with a contract extension. The real story, though, is where she showed up just days before the announcement.
According to Fightful Select, Kelly was backstage at the January 14 episode of AEW Dynamitethe same night her fianc Myron Reed was scheduled for his AEW debut. While no deal has been signed, the report noted that there are members of the roster who have said they would push for her to get aboard.
That alone puts her firmly in AEWs orbitand based on her own words, shes ready to step into something new.
Kelly made it clear theres no bad blood with TNA, praising the company for how they handled her promos, character, and presentation.
She also addressed the blood restrictions during that match in typical Killer Kelly fashion.
Beyond the tag run, Kelly also returned to TV just seven months after giving birth and was immediately thrown into a brutal Chain Match. She acknowledged the toll, but also took pride in what she accomplished.
And even though the TNA chapter is closed, she made it very clear her story isnt finished. Shes now accepting indie bookings worldwide, but that see me on TV soon line hits different now that we know she was already backstage in AEW. Add in a locker room thats ready to vouch for her, and its not a stretch to think she could be walking through that curtain a lot sooner than people think.
