Logan Paul just broke his silence after being hit with Banned from Japan chants during WWE Raw in Belfastand he wants fans to know theyve got it wrong.
On the latest episode of his vlog, the Maverick reacted to the Belfast crowds taunt, which referenced his infamous 2017-2018 Aokigahara forest controversy. Paul infamously filmed a deceased individual in Japans so-called suicide forest, sparking global outrage that nearly ended his career. But while the moment remains a massive stain on his past, Paul insists the chant isnt even factually correct.
The moment came during Mondays January 22 episode of WWE Raw, taped in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where Paul teamed with Bronson Reed and Austin Theory in a six-man tag match. The Vision lost to Rey Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and Penta.
Despite being one of the most globally recognized stars in WWE, Paul hasnt yet appeared at a WWE event in Japan since signing with the company. To date, WWE has only held non-televised live events in Japan during Pauls tenureno PLEs or TV tapings. Paul has previously revealed interest in performing in Japan under the WWE banner, but no such match has materialized.
Logan Pauls past continues to follow him, but hes not shying away from addressing itespecially when the fans come swinging. Whether or not Japan is in his future, Pauls reaction proves hes ready to turn controversy into content every time.
