Seth Rollins wanted to keep LA Knight in the dark about his staged injury during their Saturday Nights Main Event match in July 2025but Triple H wasnt having it.
On the January 20, 2026 episode of WWE Unreal Season 2, Triple H revealed that Rollins initially didnt want Knight to know the injury was fake, even though it was part of an elaborate plan to set up his shocking return at SummerSlam to cash in on CM Punk. Rollins questioned, Why does LA Knight need to know? I dont feel like he needs to know.
Triple H explained he couldnt allow that level of deception to slide between performers, telling Rollins that if the roles were reversed, hed be furious.
Rollins ultimately saw Triple Hs point and replied, Fair enough, after a brief pause. In the end, this added a new twist to what was already one of WWEs most dramatic fake-outs of 2025. It also showed just how far WWE is willing to go to protect a storylineeven if it means debating whos in on the con.
