Chelsea Green had no idea she was losing the Womens United States Championship until just hours before stepping through the curtain.
In the January 20, 2026 episode of WWE Unreal Season 2, Green revealed that she was informed of the title change only two hours before the April 25, 2025 episode of SmackDown, where she ultimately dropped the belt to Zelina Vega. The news came as a surprise, especially after what she described as the best five months of her career.
Green admitted she expected a longer reign and had much more planned creatively for the title run. Despite being caught off guard, Green chose to handle the situation with professionalism and kept her emotions in check.
This comes after Zelina Vega previously admitted she wasnt informed of her win until roughly three hours before the same show. The short notice for both women adds new context to the spontaneity of the title change and reflects WWEs often fluid creative process.
