The Miz wrapped up what could easily be the worst year of his WWE career.
According to match listings from Cagematch.net, the self-proclaimed A-Lister didnt win a single singles match across all of 2025whether on TV or at house shows.
He kicked off the year on a sour note with a loss to Sami Zayn on Raw back in January and things only got worse after he moved to SmackDown later that month. Miz couldnt catch a break against top-tier talent like LA Knight, Jey Uso, and Jimmy Uso. Even rising stars from NXT gave him trouble, including losses to Jacob Fatu, JeVon Evans, and Aleister Black. On the house show circuit, Miz was also fed to names like Joe Hendry and Carmelo Hayes.
The only minor spark in an otherwise brutal stretch came in tag action. Miz teamed up with Carmelo Hayes in a short-lived pairing dubbed Melo Dont Miz and picked up a few wins, including victories over The Motor City Machine Guns and Fraxiom. But that alliance fizzled by the end of the year, leaving Miz right back where he startedalone and losing.
Mizs losing streak hit a boiling point on the January 2rd, 2026 episode of SmackDown. During the live broadcast, he stormed the commentary desk to vent his frustration. He took a shot at WWE for sidelining him during John Cenas farewell run and claimed he was ready to lead the company. Miz declared, I shouldve been the focus during John Cenas retirement tour! Im the real face of WWE now!
The moment quickly went south. Randy Orton made his return to SmackDown and didnt let Mizs rant go unchecked. Miz tried to pivot by suggesting a partnership with Orton. Miz looked Orton dead in the eyes and said, You and me? MizKO. We could run this place. But Orton wasnt feeling it. Without a word, Orton responded with a sudden RKO, flattening Miz and walking off without even glancing back.
The Miz now heads deeper into 2026 with a full calendar year of singles losses behind him, no tag partner, and a face full of canvas courtesy of Orton. Unless something drastic changes, hes on a fast track to being remembered as anything but awesome.
