WWE Raw marked its one-year anniversary on Netflix on January 5, 2026, with a live event from Barclays Center. This was quite a night, and you can never count out any surprises.
Stephanie Vaquer had been Womens World Champion for 108 days, counting the day she won the title, or 107 days if only full days are counted. Vaquer captured the vacant championship on September 20, 2025, at the Wrestlepalooza live event held at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, where she defeated IYO SKY to begin her reign.
Stephanie Vaquer made her way out to the ring this week, but she was in a walking boot. Michael Cole made a point to say that she injured her ankle in a match last week.
Vaquer cut a promo in the ring, partly in English, where she thanked fans for believing in her. She also gave respect to Nikki Bella and Raquel Rodriguez for their triple threat match last week.
She then looked down at her walking boot, and she said, this will not stop me. After that, it seemed that her promo was over, but then Raquel Rodriguez jumped in the ring and she beat the champion down.
Raquel went to get a chair, and despite the referee telling her to stop, she continued to destroy the champions injured ankle. Rodriguez scared off officials off for a bit, but then she left before delivering any more punishment.
Michael Cole said that Stephanie is hurt bad, as the segment closed out. That wasnt all, because when we came back from a commercial break, Raquel found Stephanie backstage and attacked her again.
We will have to see what happens next, but it seems that the company may have written the Womens World Champion off television for a bit of time. Only time will tell what happens with the title in the process.
