Just one hour before Wrestle Kingdom 20 kicks off at the Tokyo Dome, a major update has fans excited Kota Ibushi has been spotted at the venue, sparking serious speculation that he could appear during Hiroshi Tanahashis emotional retirement ceremony.

A fan on Twitter revealed that Ibushi was seen interacting with fans inside the Dome, suggesting that the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion may be part of the show in some capacity despite no official announcement from NJPW.

With Tanahashi set to wrestle his final match tonight against longtime rival Kazuchika Okada, the retirement ceremony is expected to feature several special guests. NJPW already confirmed Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay will be on hand for the tribute and now, with Ibushi on-site, the chances of a surprise reunion just skyrocketed. This comes after Fightful Select reported earlier today that, despite online rumors, no WWE talent are scheduled to appear at Wrestle Kingdom 20 not even for Tanahashis farewell.

However, Fightful did tease a surprise return for the highly anticipated event at the Tokyo Dome.

Could that name be Kota Ibushi? With him already outside the building, fans think its all but confirmed and it would mark a monumental moment, reuniting two of NJPWs most beloved stars on one of the biggest nights in company history.

Do you think Kota Ibushi will return at Wrestle Kingdom 20 for Hiroshi Tanahashis retirement? And if so what moment are you hoping for most? Sound off in the comments!
