Drew McIntyre just took the feud with Cody Rhodes to a new level and this time, he went after Rhodes in-laws.

At WWEs December 30 live event in Detroit, McIntyre took full advantage of a pre-match stipulation that prevented Cody from laying a finger on him before the bell. With the Undisputed WWE Champion forced to stay hands-off or risk being stripped of the title, McIntyre grabbed a mic and launched a personal attack aimed squarely at Rhodes family sitting ringside especially Brandi Rhodes mother.

McIntyre opened with a mocking introduction, locking eyes with Brandis mom in the front row.

Then, with a smug grin, McIntyre twisted the knife further by suggesting what she was really thinking while watching WWE each week.

And just when it couldnt get more personal it did. McIntyre claimed Rhodes mother-in-law wished Brandi married Drew instead of Cody.

As Cody stood in the ring, visibly seething, McIntyre rubbed it in one final time, daring him to act knowing he couldnt.

This brutal verbal ambush came just days after McIntyre dropped a now-infamous line on SmackDown, saying: Say hi to your dad in hell for me. That comment led to a brawl and a Claymore Kick to Cody and its all led to a massive bout on January 9, 2026, in Berlin. That night, Rhodes will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against McIntyre in a Three Stages of Hell match a stipulation McIntyre chose himself.

McIntyre isnt just playing mind games hes ripping into Cody Rhodes personal life to get the upper hand before their brutal Berlin battle. With emotions at a boiling point and no more rules standing in the way, Three Stages of Hell could turn into a major war.

Did Drew McIntyre go too far this time? Or is this exactly the kind of edge that makes a champion? Sound off below and let us know where you stand heading into Berlin.
